Have you ever wondered if there was a way you could make a real difference in your community?
Members of the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company have been doing just that for over 100 years!
We'd love to have you help us continue this important and rewarding tradition for the
next hundred years.
You provide the time and the desire; we'll provide the training, the equipment, and the support to help you become an active member of one of your community's most vital organizations. In return, you'll gain the satisfaction of knowing you've helped your neighbors at their most difficult times.
If you'd like to put your skills to work, but firefighting is not for you, we have opportunities in supporting roles. During the recent snow emergency, our associate and auxilliary members played a vital role in converting our social hall to a temporary home for dozens of displaced nursing home residents. On other occasions, these same people help by bringing our canteen unit to the scene of emergencies, supporting our fundraising efforts, tracking our retirement points, etc.
We also have opportunities for the younger members of our community. Our Junior program provide an introduction to the fire service for young men and women between the ages of 16 and 17.
